SUBJECT: More on the Blight craft

The alien vessel that the Blight entity likely emerged from was revived last night, at least temporarily, by an impact with Thor's Mjolnir. I took extensive photographs of its live exterior and interior, which I have attached.

Some information is particularly pertinent, however. The craft does react to Mjolnir particularly and is of a metal Thor vaguely recognizes, if he cannot place it exactly. There are figures written on the exterior in the language of Nidavellir, which is home of the dvergar (this translates roughly to Norse dwarves, although Thor has told me dwarves is not a good term). However, Thor does not believe it is a dvergar craft.

Not every symbol is in this language, either. One group of symbols was familiar, though. It was in the shape of a star. Thor recognized a figure regarding the atrocity of war and another that roughly translated to "Mother of Dusk." Neither of these appear to relate to the dvergar.

It is uncertain whether the craft is stolen by the Blight or what its origin is, although all of this suggests some relation to cultures our Asgardians are aware of. What relation, we do not have context enough for yet.

THE ASGARDIAN THOR: ALIENS ARE APPARENTLY REAL AND THEY APOLOGIZE
(written by: George Galfinkis; photo credited to: Peter Parker)

THOR, the acclaimed God of Thunder and extra-dimensional, said on Saturday, the 25th, that he has officially rescinded his declaration of war on Latveria in a private interview.

Thor sat on a metal chair, dressed completely in bulky armor, directly in front of several reporters. He had walked into the room moments before, cape whipping around, and demanded to speak with a journalist.

The whole room had stared at him for several seconds. Then the entire place erupted. The old-timers claimed that had not seen a thing like it since Watergate.

"I have sought all of you for a dual purpose," Thor said, his voice booming. "I wish to publicly apologize to the citizens of Latveria. They are a good, hard-working, loyal people, and deserve better than my harsh words and rash actions. And second, I am rescinding my declaration of war on Latveria," Thor said.

Earlier in August there were reports from Latveria, an isolated country in Eastern Europe, that Thor had met with the country's dictator and declared war. Since then, there has been some speculation as to what transpired, and if Latveria was in some way connected to the invasion in Manhattan just months before August.

"That is a private matter, which will likely not see conclusion," Thor said, when asked what transpired between he and the Latverian dictator. "The countries of Earth must seek unity in the days to come, and I am here to see that goal realized," Thor said.

(Included is a picture of Thor from the interview. He sits in a chair, fully clad in armor, with his hair swept. There is a broad, charming smile on his expression - one he often wears after a bit of laughter).

Your words have swayed me. I deem them wise and calculated.

I will rescind my declaration of war on Latveria immediately. This declaration will be public.

As a token of thanks I have delivered two boxes of donuts to your offices in New York City. One is powdered sugar, the other chocolate. I could not determine which you would prefer, so I purchased both.

The spell upon Valkyrie has been dealt with.

Be wary of Enchantress. Her spells are powerful, and are capable of lingering for vast periods of time. 'twould seem she receives some measure of joy from manipulation. I do not think her actions have been tactical, but are rather meant to achieve some measure of petty pleasure.

If you believe you have been under her spell, seek me. I will see it removed. If you are not certain, but have met with her in the past, contact me regardless. If you have provided a report in the past you needn't contact me, lest you fear Amora has caused you lingering harm.

At some point during the day, Bruce will return to wherever he is staying in Stark Tower and find that his stuff is all gone. This may be BEFORE Pepper finds him to give him a key card, but she will find him ... sooner or later. Clint, Natasha, Steve and Thor also receive similar key cards along with an address: 890 Fifth Avenue.

The key cards are both a little thicker and heavier than you might expect, but they bend like thick latex. The base is white with red and black stripes. There is a pale A with an arrow that unlocks the card's screen when swiped by the authorized cardholder. It looks kind of like this:

The cards function as a link to the other Avengers and to Jarvis. They are also panic buttons, able to send a signal to the others on the team. They can be used for video calls, or for taking video and uploading it via Jarvis.

They also unlock doors at the Avengers Mansion. I guess.

You can @go avengers and head upstairs to @makeroom. Janet and Vance, you can go ahead and @makeroom if you want, but Stark hasn't given you a key yet ICly. HE WILL. Feel free to redesc the rooms.

Important details:

  • Bruce: There is a balcony in Bruce's room that faces the park. Since Stark's room is the other room like that, he is CLEARLY playing SCIENCE FAVORITES. The door is not wide enough to allow the Hulk through, but if he stumbles out mid-change ... well, the hope is there for minimizing damage, anyway. And the floors are specially reinforced. His card also grants him access to the basement labs.

  • Clint: Clint's room is actually on the floor above the others. He's in the attic. It's still classy as shit. The ceilings do have a slope to them, though, which indicates his proximity to the roof. His windows open to a widow's walk (haha) that gives him free access to the roof. He also has the best views of the entire area. It isn't quite 360 degrees, but it is a short walk for that last 90 degrees.

  • Natasha: Natasha's room is much like the other unassigned rooms. At a loss, Stark has left behind a case of vodka. Good vodka. Good, Russian vodka.

  • Steve: There's a drafting table in the study and the natural light in here is awful good. It's at just the angle someone might want for ... art ... things. Framed in a prominent location in the study is a vintage Captain America propaganda poster. About fighting VD.

  • Thor: The furniture in Thor's room is a little ... sturdier than in the other rooms, and given more to the kind of wood and metal gleam that Asgardian sensibilities dictate. There are a couple of bottles of cask-strength Scotch. While he may not have a balcony looking out over the park, he does have a balcony, because sometimes you just want to go fly.

Yesterday I traveled to Latveria in search of my brother, Loki. I happened upon Doomstadt, a town in the middle of lovely countryside. After landing, I was immediately surrounded by men with normal firearms. We had a brief exchange before I was invited to enjoy the city, with an escort. I demanded to see Doom, but enjoyed some food before my appointment.

Doom eventually called me to court. He resides in a castle.

We met briefly. I told Doom I wanted my brother. Doom accused me of being rude. I accused him of being a thief. At this point, he used some power to push me backward. I bid him release me. He bid me goodbye. I told him I was not leaving without information about my brother.

I am surprised to say that Doom possesses incredible power. He can generate some sort of field that prevents movement. We had a bout, the result of which is Asgard's declaration of war.

At any rate, he flung me out of his window. When I woke up, I was buried inside a mountain, and wounded.

I flew home of my own power.

A recent acquaintance of mine desires to learn more about the Avengers. She is a person of extraordinary talents and would be a powerful ally. If you are available, I think you would be best to greet her. Please make yourself available at midday tomorrow and meet her at Stark Tower. See my most recent report for further information. What is it you say? *there is a pause, and then booming laughter* Thank you for your cooperation.

I will seek out and speak to this woman you found. Thank you for your mail. And also, be wary of those who call themselves of Asgard, or say they are my acquaintance. We should speak soon on matters of great importance. Um. I am not certain how to stop this message. (there are twenty extra seconds of windy sounds before the message ends).

I don't think this is the same woman that you saw the other day. She called herself Valkyrie, not Enchantress. Met her w/Rogers. Apparently her sword is only visible to ... special people. I feel especially ... special ... knowing that.

She said she wasn't Asgardian but is a friend of Thor's Dad. She said to say hi to Thor. Hi, Thor. I don't know if you read emails.

Might want to include the park in our scans.

At some point last night YouTube had five videos posted. They were tagged with "Avengers!" and "Cap saves Kitteh!" and "THOR NEKKID." The videos detail the events of Steve rescuing a kitty, Mjolnir and Thor crash landing into the street and an office building, and the police trying to arrest Thor. Each video gets over one million hits pretty quickly (although Thor must be unnudified for those videos to be allowed to remain on YouTube).

The following day, the street where Mjolnir crashed has been repaved. Although there is no video, an eye witness claims, on television, "A guy with a hammer flew in carrying a lot of asphalt and filled in the hole. Yeah, he really flew! It was cool." The road was repaved by professional workers, though, who could not explain the arrival of the asphalt.
