THOR, the acclaimed God of Thunder and extra-dimensional, said on Saturday, the 25th, that he has officially rescinded his declaration of war on Latveria in a private interview.
Thor sat on a metal chair, dressed completely in bulky armor, directly in front of several reporters. He had walked into the room moments before, cape whipping around, and demanded to speak with a journalist.
The whole room had stared at him for several seconds. Then the entire place erupted. The old-timers claimed that had not seen a thing like it since Watergate.
"I have sought all of you for a dual purpose," Thor said, his voice booming. "I wish to publicly apologize to the citizens of Latveria. They are a good, hard-working, loyal people, and deserve better than my harsh words and rash actions. And second, I am rescinding my declaration of war on Latveria," Thor said.
Earlier in August there were reports from Latveria, an isolated country in Eastern Europe, that Thor had met with the country's dictator and declared war. Since then, there has been some speculation as to what transpired, and if Latveria was in some way connected to the invasion in Manhattan just months before August.
"That is a private matter, which will likely not see conclusion," Thor said, when asked what transpired between he and the Latverian dictator. "The countries of Earth must seek unity in the days to come, and I am here to see that goal realized," Thor said.
(Included is a picture of Thor from the interview. He sits in a chair, fully clad in armor, with his hair swept. There is a broad, charming smile on his expression - one he often wears after a bit of laughter).
