Automatic Automatic Weapon

Wanted to relay this from Thor-player for any of the IC nerds to possibly go through:

Thor would have turned over to the science guys the robot/drone-type gun that he and Sif retrieved from China reconnaissance. Rhodey and Thor (offscreenly) also did a fly over to root out/take out any other weapons lying around there, and brought back anything that seemed good.

The weapons don't appear to have any kind of internal power source, suggesting they were hooked up in some way to something else, but neither Rhodey nor Thor can confirm much beyond the fact they were all embedded into rock. They are/were programmed to shoot at anything in motion -- some of the weapons they found were clean of ammunition, and all of them are in a state of negligance. The technology is not exactly modern, just sophisticated and a bit ramshackle in make, cobbled together from custom machinery and military grade weaponry.
