avengers_assembled* SHIELD -- Coulson, anyway -- is letting the Avengers keep the rock.
* Speaking of the rock:
** Vision's suffering some minor damage to peripheral systems which he and Stark will repair over the next little while.
** Damage because Stark sat him down with the rock again.
** However Vision got a more clear understanding of what the rock was communicating.
** It apparently traveled through space utilizing some form of doors and sought a destination that could support life as indicated by flames and water. Flames could mean heat or oxygen. Water's a given. Vizh experienced the arrival.
** And a bit of their language: Klige van gvich. Ykly xuil.
* In other news, once the factory has been swept clean the Avengers (minus Rhodey, who is headed to Beijing to see how many people we made mad and look into missing planes) are headed for the mountains.
** Yurts! Camels! Snow! Coats!
** Someone should go find where that third plane went down and see if we can track the pilot.
** We'll be crawling around mountains looking for tunnels / dead zones on Sun, Feb 10 @ 8:00 PM CST.
Questions for GM:
* Going back before the first outbreaks in China's villages, have there been any recorded recent meteorite impacts in this area of the world? If so, any location on them?
* What can we make of the mystery machine that isn't an MRI in the time we had to study it?
* Anything salvaged from the computers before throwing them at SHIELD?
* Anything to data mine from recent journals, papers, talks on the subject of non-traditional, tailor-made viruses? Anyone throwing around the words Extremis virus?
* Can we find where the third plane went down and track the pilot?

No recent, scientific recordings of falling objects, but a little digging talks about the bright star that fell from the sky and landed in the Valley of Spirits, which is folklore and mythology from about 600 years ago.
* What can we make of the mystery machine that isn't an MRI in the time we had to study it?
The MRI description comes from its physical appearance and apparent function in terms of analysing the human body, except instead of receiving output, it seems used to give electronic input. Unless, of course, it's used to put miscellaneous artefacts in for study. How it was used is not known to them.
* Anything salvaged from the computers before throwing them at SHIELD?
It's mostly what Tony already hacked and found out -- various protocols that runs different kinds of computer systems, including avionics for commercial airlines. There also seems to be a string of code that might relate to an electrical system of a building that could control it remotely, and a city's gas line system. It should be noted that none of these computers are equipped for any kind of uplinking.

Kind of depends on your angle, here, I'm sure there's plenty of general study around tailorable viruses - 'Extremis' is not a word being thrown around by any public science communities, though.

Maybe, but more detail as to proposed method needed, like manpower etc. You guys are busy.
