The Gatchina Palace, located in the Gatchinsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, has been re-purposed to house the Asgardian embassy and residence of off-world visitors.
The palace has been a historic site and attraction for Russia since 1918, suffering vandalism and looting by the Nazis in World War Two. It has since undergone restoration beginning in 1976, and continues restoration to this day, with one wing open for public visitation.
Its last tours to the public will commence until 25 January, when it will be then closed as a private residence. Prince Loki, diplomatic representative of Asgard, thanked the Russian administration and the general public for their generousity.
The first of what is sure to be many dinners and galas of diplomats and politicians hosted at the Gatchina Palace is rumoured to take place on 31 January.
Note: Thor, Lady Sif, Lady Amora, and the Warriors Three all receive formal invitations to the dinner. Sif gets a dress delivered also. It is nice. (Note-note: I don't particularly expect this to pan out or anything! But assume the invite. It's very fancy.)
