Subject: Betty Ross Debriefed
Dear Avengers;
I have just returned from visiting Doctor Elizabeth Ross in quarantine, who despite injuries and trauma, seems clear on her recollections of the events leading up to her kidnapping.
Doctor Ross had been originally invited to a convention (convention name, location, and travel arrangements are included in an email) prior to the plan's subsequent hijacking. There was a sick man on the plane, similar to the other attacks, to whom they were were able to provide no care. Doctor Ross believes that he was poisoned by same drug that affected the others, by the information she was given in her captivity. When the flight arrived, it was to a military compound where Doctor Ross was demanded by name, at gun point, and escorted separately to the factory from the rest of the passengers. She believes they went North.
When they arrived at the location, she was visited by a man named Rickson. He spoke English. Doctor Ross was intended to study their 'cure'. They offered her food, documents, and test subjects. Live subjects.
She was meant to fix their 'cure', whether by offers of fame or incentive. The other passangers were meant to be the later.
It is called the Extremis Virus Doctor Ross describes it as a non-traditional virus. Ideally intended to force the body to completely repair itself. Cure all. After initial injection, full recovering is seen, only to have a decline begin at a later date. (There are more explanations that follow, biological ones and scientific ones that are rife with the misspellings of complex words heard only by ear and never written. JARVIS helpfully provides corrections to the majority of them.)
As far as I can tell, some of the symptoms that Doctor Ross noted in the patient's decline match what we have seen. I leave that affirmation to you experts.
It is to my understanding that Doctor Ross may have contributed work on this project, but it is unverified what at this time. She will continue to be monitored and I will keep you updated on any changes on this end.
