Christmas Lights
Dec. 27th, 2012 11:43 pmAnything worth doing is worth overdoing. So.
The Avengers Christmas Tree.
The tree itself is lit in a relatively subdued fashion. Tiny LEDs wink amidst the branches in a scattered glitter of starlight. They range in size from the truly tiny to globes the width of a dime.
The lights shift hues to reflect the room's occupants. Scarlet; red, white, and blue; silver, green, and blue; green in many shades -- you get the idea. The more Avengers there are, the greater the variety of lights.
(Bru, Vizh: you can help engineer and program this holiday cheer.)
It is just maybe possible to read a 'STARK' in the placement of the lights, when viewed from a certain angle around the tree, but it is surely a happy accident rather than deliberate plan.
Stark Tower
On Christmas Eve, the S, T, R and K of the newer, bigger lettering on the tower goes dark. Lasers in a nearby building paint 'Happy Holidays from the Avengers', making use of the A as a centering focal point of non-denominational cheer.
Laser graffiti features on the exterior decoration of the Avengers Mansion, as well. Because why do it with strings of lights when you can do it with lasers.
It is all totally low-key and completely subtle.
(That's a complete lie.)
