Captain Rogers, Agent Brand and I spoke with the remaining relative of father and brother Wei, Mo-Ren. She was far more helpful than we had any right to expect, so maybe that painting was more valuable than it looked.
The Senior Wei was apparently part of the World Security Council. His son, Mo-Yi, was kidnapped to take away his source of information and to be used as leverage against him. She mentioned she had learned about the kidnapping and blackmail from a young, white Englishman, with light hair and light eyes. She also warned about blindly trusting our superiors. It's possible the replacement on the Council will not work in the favor of SHIELD and the Avengers.
The father had sway over arms-dealing weapons, the legal and illegal kind, as well as with development, military, police and criminals. Someone, or multiple people, will likely try to fill the hole left by him, and Mo-Ren has offered to give us names to watch in regards to this.
She said she'd be in contact despite the personal risk and that we had people to avenge.
